We are delighted to share the news that American Family Insurance has teamed up with YWCA Banff to create a positive difference in the Bow Valley!

During the 61st All American Convention held at the Fairmont Banff Springs in July, AmFam President Jack Salzwedel presented YWCA CEO Connie MacDonald with a cheque for $50,000 to support Bridge House.

Bridge House is a transitional housing program operated by the YWCA in partnership with St. George in the Pines Anglican Church. Bridge House provides a safe and supportive environment for survivors of domestic or sexual violence after leaving crisis shelter or their home.

Launched in 2017, Bridge House is still in its infancy, and this donation will provide assistance with ongoing costs for the program and its operations, which are not currently covered by dedicated funding sources.

Thank you to American Family Insurance for ensuring that Bridge House will continue to support women and families seeking violence-free lives!
