The Fifth Annual Jamie Perkins Memorial Golf Tournament takes place this year on Sunday July 30th at Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club. An evening event will also be held on Saturday July 29th – please stay tuned for more information on that!
Proceeds will go to the YWCA Banff’s Higher Ground Project. The Higher Ground Project is the YWCA’s plan to bring a new, purpose-built facility to Canmore with a range of services to support people in our community including women and families, to build their own thriving futures, free from violence. Higher Ground will leverage the unique expertise of the YWCA and other local agencies in order to provide relevant, long-term support and a safe space for Bow Valley residents.
The growing demand for YWCA Banff’s emergency programs throughout the pandemic has yet to decline and they continue to pivot to address escalating needs. Crisis calls, which mirror community need and demand for YWCA Banff services increased by 176% in 2020/2021 and a further 89.5% in 2022/23. YWCA Banff’s shelter spaces remain consistently full.
Thanks to the generous support of donors, sponsors and attendees, last year we raised $62,455 for YWCA Banff. This year, with your support and generosity, we are looking to exceed that goal. The combined total of three years of 100 Holes of Help and the four previous Jamie Perkins Memorial Golf Tournament exceeds $295,455.00.
