The Jamie Perkins Memorial Golf Tournament tees off on Sunday, July 28th at Stewart Creek Golf Course in Canmore. This event carries on the legacy of 100 Holes of Help, with all proceeds going to the YWCA’s Higher Ground Project.
The Higher Ground Project is the YWCA’s plan to bring a new, purpose-built facility to Canmore with a range of services that address domestic and sexual violence in the Bow Valley. This includes shelter and transitional housing, counselling, services for children, and violence prevention programs. Higher Ground will leverage the unique expertise of the YWCA, other local agencies, and the broader network of service providers throughout Alberta in order to provide relevant, long-term support for Bow Valley residents experiencing violence and associated vulnerabilities.
The tournament will be a Texas Scramble with an on-course lunch, followed by reception and silent auction. Golfers of all abilities are welcome and non-golfers can register for the reception.
