Women's Circle: Being an Everyday Upstander for Yourself
Women’s Circle is a place of connection, self-care and support, where women and the 2SLGBTQ+ community can come together to have fun, engage, and empower one another in a safe space.
The theme for this year’s Sexual Violence Awareness Month campaign is “Everyday Upstander”. An Everyday Upstander is someone who speaks up and stands up for those experiencing violence. An Upstander is also someone who shows up for themselves and knows their personal strengths.
This circle will move through different themes of healing, creation and exploration of your self care practices. This series is for all cis and trans women, as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of women.
We have 4 facilitators bringing their unique practices and each session will have YWCA counsellors present to offer support.
Women’s Circle is free, and pre-registration is required. Sign up early as spaces are limited.
