YWCA Banff had a few special guests come in to tour the housing, hotel and child care facilities. Honourable Joe Ceci, Minister of Finance and MLA for Calgary-Fort, along with Cameron Westhead, MLA for Banff-Cochrane, spent the afternoon of November 9th learning about the various projects YWCA Banff is involved with in the Bow Valley. Honourable Joe Ceci was in Banff to gain feedback on expenditure and future financial needs of the YWCA and was particularly interested in the Puzzles childcare facility.

Puzzles Childcare is a recipient of the Alberta Learning and Child Care grant for innovation in designing solutions for child care needs. It is part of the Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) pilot program charging maximum fees of $25-a-day for children under eight-years-old. Puzzles childcare also offers flexible hours, outside of typical daycare timings, for parents who work part-time or shift work.
