The YWCA Banff organizes fundraisers throughout the year, partnering with different organizations to raise funds and awareness for YWCA programs and services. Volunteer roles and responsibilities vary with each event and current opportunities are listed below.

VINEart Gala Auction

Saturday, March 14, 2020 Banff Springs Hotel

Each year, our VINEart Gala Auction acts as the major fundraiser that allows us to expand and maintain our programs and services that empower women and girls throughout the Bow Valley.

Proceeds from the event go towards the Bow Valley Women’s Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Program, and the Higher Ground Project. With your support we can make an essential difference in the lives of vulnerable members of our community who are in need of safety and stability to rebuild their lives free of violence.

A variety of volunteer roles are available including event setup, registration, coat check, auction helpers, tear down and more.

Sunday June 21, 2020, Banff

Since its inception, the Banff Marathon has supported YWCA Banff as their charity of choice, contributing more than $30,000 to our programming through participant donations. This year, we are once again partnering with the Marathon,  and we are looking for volunteers for our YWCA team that will be supporting the Marathon on race day by helping to keep the runners hydrated and nourished! It’s a truly fun day of being outdoors, and a great way to support your community. We hope you’ll join us!


Full-day and half-day shifts between 7:00am and 4:00pm are available.
